Rally 'Round the Flag: Battles of Perryville and Stones River

This brigade-level grand tactical game covers the Battles of Perryville and Stones River during the American Civil War. Players command Union and Confederate forces across separate hex maps, with scenarios representing the historical battles and additional forces. The system combines traditional hex-and-counter movement with command and control, leader personalities, flexible artillery, and combat results that emphasize unit quality and firepower over numerical strength. Special rules model historical factors including Union command confusion, cavalry screens, Cheatham’s impaired leadership, and Rosecrans coming under fire. Each turn represents one hour, with hexes covering approximately a quarter mile.
