Roman Heroes: The Elliott Varient

A roleplaying game set in the Roman Empire’s Time of Chaos, from 235 to 285 AD, amid assassinations, civil wars, barbarian invasions and plague. Players portray gladiators, deserters, pirates, bandits, bodyguards, treasure-hunters or secret agents seeking adventure and fortune across the lawless provinces. The game provides conversion guidelines for the Fighting Fantasy rules and campaign ideas featuring emperors, barbarians, exotic provinces and eastern cults, rather than a detailed historical account of daily Roman life.
