Rommel in the Desert

A block wargame that recreates the North Africa campaign between British and Axis forces in World War II. Players command formations represented by upright wooden blocks that hide unit identity and record strength by rotation, creating fog of war and multi-step damage tracking. Gameplay emphasizes maneuver, supply-line control via a card-driven system, and timing of attacks; cutting an opponent’s supply causes rapid collapse. Turns resolve movement, supply, and combat with an emphasis on initiative, reconnaissance, and positional play rather than static attrition.
