Smooth & Rifled: In the Dark Continent

A miniatures skirmish game set across pre-colonial Africa, European exploration, and tribal warfare. Players command small groups using movement, ranged attacks, charges, and melee combat. The setting introduces weapons and equipment including assegais, spears, machetes, shields, and kpingas, each with specific rules for throwing, recovery, cover, and close combat. Witchdoctors provide the effects of both standard bearers and musicians, while marksmen must fire individually rather than as a group.
