Spartacus

A two-player wargame depicting the Servile War of 73–71 BC, with one player leading the escaped gladiators and the other commanding Roman forces. Solitaire rules control the Roman side. The game uses a point-to-point map of Italy. Each turn, the slave army moves, recruits, arms and trains new troops, and manages food supplies in occupied regions. The Roman player moves legions and checks for reinforcements. Combat is resolved without dice through a table that considers troop training and quality, terrain, and leader ability. The slave forces win by besieging Rome or escaping through the Alps or by sea; the Roman forces win by preventing these objectives.
