Players take the roles of two iconic villains from the Star Wars galaxy and pursue competing objectives tied to their factions. One side focuses on the Imperial strategy of seizing and occupying locations by collecting artifacts, deploying fleet forces, and using political ambition to flip control in the player’s sector. The other side leads the Separatist movement, defeating Jedi and manipulating neutral organizations into alignment to dismantle the Republic’s influence and secure power alongside Sith leadership. Asymmetrical play emphasizes tableau-building, area control, and resource management; the two villains use distinct decks and mechanics and can be mixed with other sets for expanded matchups.
