Sweden Fights On

A tactical tabletop wargame covering four battles from the later Thirty Years War, tracing Swedish campaigns after the death of King Gustav II Adolf. Play models brigade- and regimental-level combat with infantry, cavalry, and artillery units, and includes features such as limbered guns, double-sized batteries, and organic regimental artillery. Armies are arranged into three or four wings, each wing given specific orders that constrain available actions; players coordinate those wings to execute charges, volleys, skirmishing pistol fire, artillery grazing fire, and maneuver. Scenarios span Nördlingen (1634), Wittstock (1636), the second Breitenfeld (1642), and Jankau (1645). Components include die-cut counters, large maps, a series rulebook, scenario playbook, player aid, and a ten-sided die.
