The Last Hundred Yards: Volume 2 – Airborne Over Europe

This tactical wargame simulates small-unit actions by U.S. airborne forces in Normandy and Market Garden during World War II. Players conduct airdrops, assemble scattered troops, seize and defend objectives, and react to enemy counterattacks across a sequence of linked missions. Scenarios cover operations by elements of the 82nd and 101st Airborne—assaults on targets like an artillery battery and contests for key bridges and heights—using rules for night drops, dispersal and rally, and new terrain features. Play uses geomorphic maps, counters, mission cards and charts to resolve movement, combat and unit recovery over consecutive turns.
