The Mires of Mourning (Swords & Wizardry)

The adventurers are tasked with escorting a catatonic prisoner to a sanitarium deep within the Creeping Mire. With the Swamp Road cut off during the rainy season, the party must face the dangers of the flooded wetlands and uncover why others are determined to prevent the prisoner from reaching his destination. At Mourninghaven Sanatorium, the decrepit hospice may hold threats more disturbing than the swamp. The adventure is designed for 4–6 characters of 6th level and can be used in a variety of campaign settings.
