Tricube Tales

Players invent compact characters by choosing an archetype (a trait like agile, brawny, or crafty plus a concept), a perk (a special ability or item), and a quirk (a drawback). Characters are summarized in a single sentence that conveys who they are and what makes them distinct. Challenges use 1–3 six-sided dice against difficulties of 4–6; players need at least one die to meet or exceed the target. Perks and quirks modify difficulty but are managed with karma tokens: spend karma to apply perks and regain karma by accepting or triggering quirks. The same roll-and-karma system governs actions, social interactions, and combat, keeping resolution player-driven.
