An early fantasy role-playing game designed with simplicity in mind. Players create characters, explore dangerous tunnels, face creatures, and resolve their actions using straightforward rules. The first four editions share the same core system, with differences mainly in presentation and an expanding selection of creatures and actions. Supplements from all eras are compatible with every edition.
