Players command World War II air units in side-scrolling aerial combat focused on speed, altitude, and positioning. Scenarios cover late-war theatres including the Reich, Normandy, Italy, Romania, the Eastern Front, and the Pacific, and include late-war weapons and jet aircraft. Players activate squadrons and flights to intercept raids or escort and attack enemy formations, resolving engagements with streamlined rules that support 90–120 minute plays. The game is standalone, with expanded aircraft and scenario options; it also integrates with its companion volume to recreate air combat across the entire war.
