Winter Fury: The Battle of Tolvajärvi 1939

Recreates the twin battles of Tolvajärvi and Ilomantsi during the 1939 Winter War, along with the 1941 Finnish offensive over the same ground. This historical game uses a variable-impulse system in which players draw action markers from a common container, with weather affecting the number drawn. Finnish forces are weaker but more mobile in forest terrain and typically conduct more operations, while Soviet artillery, tanks, and armored cars provide greater firepower. The game includes rules, scenarios, historical background, 280 playing pieces, and a 34x22-inch map. Units represent battalions and companies, with each hex covering 2 kilometers.
