Eila and Something Shiny

Play as a small rabbit named Eila who follows the lure of a distant, glowing object across an ancient forest and beyond. The game runs as a solo narrative adventure (with optional cooperative play) divided into five chapters of branching scenarios that react to player choices. Players manage limited resources and make story choices that alter available encounters, open new locations, and change the arc toward multiple possible endings. The boxed game focuses on exploration, decision-driven narrative, and replaying different paths; it includes scenario setup and tracking systems that record Eila’s evolving fate and consequences. Contains themes that may be emotionally mature for some children.

Can I choose any option on an Event card, or do I have to meet its prerequisites?

You can only choose and execute an option if you meet its prerequisites; the rules explicitly require checking and satisfying prerequisites before resolving an option (Rulebook p.7).

When an effect tells me to move a card to the Future or Past, where exactly do those cards go?

Place the card into the designated Future or Past area (or back to its original deck) as instructed by the event — the rulebook explains where to place cards and how they later re-enter play (Rulebook p.7).

Is there a limit to how many resources I can hold or convert each turn?

The rulebook defines the six resources, how they are stored or discarded, and specifies conversion limits and acquisition rules — follow those storage and conversion limits rather than assuming unlimited holding/conversion (Rulebook p.8).

What happens in the Night phase if I don't add the time-track token?

During Night you must place resources on goals and either add the time-track token or lose HP; failure to add the time-track token causes the listed HP loss (Rulebook p.10).

Do Support cards or spells carry over between chapters (for example into Chapter 5’s Harsh Environment)?

Support and spell behavior is covered on acquisition and use (Rulebook p.14), but in Chapter 5’s Harsh Environment specifically, spells do not carry over between encounters/chapters as noted in the chapter rules (Rulebook p.23).
