The Great Battles of Alexander: Macedonian Art of War

A tactical-level historical wargame that recreates Hellenistic and Classical battles with hex maps and counter units. Players command phalanxes, cavalry, light troops and commanders, maneuvering formations, committing reserves and resolving combat in 20-minute turns at a scale of roughly 70 yards per hex and 100 men per strength point. The box includes scenario and module collections covering battles from the late 5th through 3rd centuries BC, along with optional modules for phalanx variants, Diadochi-era actions, Raphia, and additional Tyrant-era scenarios. Gameplay follows the series’ revised fifth-edition rules for movement, cohesion, facing and combined-arms interaction.
