Deck Box Dungeons

A compact fantasy dungeon crawler that fits in a deck box and uses a companion app to run quests and reveal rooms. Players construct their adventurers by choosing a character card, an equipment card, and an ability card, producing flexible builds from dagger-wielding rogues to greatsword-casting mages. Play is cooperative: players explore app-driven encounters, fight monsters using dice and cards, manage items and runes, and work together to complete varied quest objectives. The app handles setup, encounter generation, and quest progression for quick setup and replayability; print-and-play quests are available as an alternative. Designed primarily for one to two players, it scales to more with additional copies.

Who needs a giant box with hundreds of minis that will never get played when instead you can play the same kind of game anywhere at anytime? This is a gem of a dungeon crawl! Quick to set up, quick to play, and fun. Brings back memories of classic dungeon crawl games like Heroquest. While, it is not the most complex game (that is a plus for me), it is more than a mere dice chucker as there are choices to make on when to use items and when to acquire them. The free app also adds much to the experience with randomization of rooms and story text. For those who are wary of app integration there are print-and-play versions of the official missions too. Wish the rules were more clear but revisions and clarifications are happening all the time. In the ratio of size/set-up time to gameplay this more than makes the cut in my book. Can't wait for more content to add to the adventure,
