Metro X

Players build individual subway networks on double-sided city maps by marking station spaces and filling indicator boxes from a shared deck of cards. Each turn reveals an indicator card and all players simultaneously choose a line to act on, then mark stations according to the card type: write numbers in indicator boxes and draw circles in consecutive station spaces, skip filled spaces with circled-number cards, place stars that set special station values, or place a single circle with plain circle cards. Finishing a line awards the larger of two bonuses to the first completer while later completions receive the smaller bonus; cards occasionally trigger a reshuffle of the indicator deck. The game ends when all indicator boxes are filled; players score completed-line bonuses and written numbers, then subtract penalties for empty stations to determine the highest total.

This is a simple flip and write game. Each turn a card flips, and then players mark a number of circles along one train line equal to the number on the card. The lines overlap, and if you hit a filled space you have to stop unless it's a special ability card. There are also star cards that give you vp equal to twice the number of lines crossing in the box you write it in, so there's some tension about where to leave lines waiting for star cards. The trick of the game is each line can only have so many numbered entered into it, so you need some lines to overlap and double up on others. End game negative points for unfilled boxes.
