In 982, Viking jarls settle a newly discovered land, establishing villages and managing its resources while competing to influence their neighbors. Terrain tiles produce resources, which remain available until players vote on how to distribute them. Villages and visiting heroes provide votes, while proposals require a majority. Players can strengthen their position by building villages, cooperate to improve production, or spread their settlements across the coast. Agreements and alliances help develop the land, but unexpected movements, changing roles, and uncertain harvests create opportunities for betrayal. Negotiation, trust, and influence shape the outcome of each settlement.
