In the City: Origins

The king has died, and rival leaders seek the throne amid shifting alliances and unreliable partners. Each player begins with a unique leader and recruits people from the city, including aristocrats, generals, and common citizens. Recruited cards provide victory points and influence, while also allowing players to manipulate available recruits or interfere with opponents. The game ends when two of the seven city columns are empty. Players then total their points, with people holding greater sway in the city contributing more toward the claim to the crown.
