Players cooperate as a mismatched band of fantasy adventurers who explore a 14-room dungeon to recover a final statuette and confront a powerful sorcerer. Each character has a distinct class, special rules and a unique way of interacting with the game’s mechanics. Rooms present skill checks, choices or timed battles. Skill checks use 16 thick Destiny Tiles and range from balance, climbing and dexterity tasks to memory, coordination, precision, speed and stamina challenges. Battles are timed and resolved with letter cards: players spell character-specific words to land blows, exchange cards with teammates and manage wounds and card draw. Characters earn gold and XP to level up, can rest a limited number of times to heal, and face a specific death-and-respawn rule that may change their identity. The final encounter varies by tile composition, changing the endgame.
