One Child's Heart

Players take the roles of child welfare professionals using an experimental system to enter a child’s memories and provide support during pivotal moments. An Advocate guides the session and portrays the child as the professionals encounter memories without full context. Through conversation, investigation, and roleplaying, the professionals work to understand what makes each memory significant, build trust, and help the child develop resilience before the memory ends. Dice, tokens, character approaches, and individual qualities represent the process of forming meaningful connections.
