Owner's Choice

Owner's Choice is a board game for 2–5 players. It plays in 45 minutes and is meant for ages 10 and up. Ludoya players call it best with 4. It is rated 5,9 out of 10 by 1 Ludoya reviewers.

Buy low and sell high as players manipulate the stocks of four companies. The majority stockholder in each company becomes its President and chooses whether to fund a roll that may raise prices or pay dividends, or raid the communal Fund for personal gain at the risk of lowering the stock price. A pawn determines which company may act and controls the game's length, while players influence its movement. When the pawn reaches the goal, all stocks are cashed in and the player with the most money wins.

I can easily recommend Owner's Choice, simply based on the wide audience I think it will have. One need not be a mathematician or stock analyst to understand the basic nuances of the game. Players can win without controlling any one company, but to control them is fun - merely because of the decisions they can make. With practically zero downtime and a short playing span, Owner' Choice is a game that hits a sweet spot for me - stocks - without becoming a grueling, lengthy affair.
