Patronize

In Renaissance Tuscany, wealthy merchants seek influence by supporting talented figures in religion, the arts, science, and exploration. Players compete to become the official patrons of these individuals and increase their fame, sometimes claiming a protégé before a rival can do so. The game uses trick-taking mechanisms and includes 17 types of people cards, each with a distinct ability. The AEG edition also contains promotional cards for Dominare, Mercante, and Courtier.
