The Publish or Perish Game

Enjoy dark humor about academia? Then this game is for you! Players take on the role of researchers racing to publish five manuscripts and collect the most citations. Action cards advance personal publications, sabotage opponents’ work, and deliver unhelpful Reviewer 2-style comments. Once a player publishes five manuscripts, a Defense round begins, followed by voting for awards that provide bonus citations. The player with the most citations wins, ideally with some sanity and self-respect intact.
