Players move nine counters across an 11×11 board, using straight-line moves of either one or four squares while avoiding other pieces. Counters are captured when sandwiched between two opposing counters or when they complete a diagonal formation, allowing previously lost pieces to be reclaimed. The central 3×3 scroll zone contains four sleeping men and determines the three winning conditions: eliminate all opposing counters, fill the zone with one color, or fill it without using a sleeping man.
