Seagrass

Seagrass is a board game for 2–4 players. It plays in 30–60 minutes and is meant for ages 10 and up. Ludoya players call it best with 4.

Players act as marine naturalists exploring and expanding colonies and reefs in an underwater ecosystem. On a turn, a player either grows a colony of creature tiles or expands a reef, with larger colonies scoring more points and competing for majority control around reefs. Expanding reefs raises their point value and refreshes a player’s hand but also attracts opponent attention. Playing multiple tiles of the same type yields powerful moves, while diversifying plays allows repeated scoring of the same colonies. The game emphasizes tight interaction, tactical trade-offs, and evolving board states driven by special creature abilities and an adjustable end-game trigger.
