The Plot Thickens: Romance Edition is a board game for 2–4 players. It is meant for ages 17 and up. Ludoya players call it best with 4.

A storytelling game set in the world of paperback romance novels, featuring muscle-bound heroes, manic pixie dream girls, and hookers with hearts of gold. Players use cards showing people, places, and things to develop their character’s story, earning plot points for each card played and for connecting their narrative with others. The highest-scoring storyteller creates the ending, while the player who connects most closely to their cards names the story; different editions can be combined for more players and story options.
