Wings of the Motherland

A tactical air-combat and close-support wargame covering the Eastern Front from the 1941 invasion through the fall of Berlin in 1945. Players maneuver and dogfight with detailed aircraft counters, plan and execute bombing and close air support missions, and contest low-altitude airspace against enemy fighters and ground defenses. The game uses an evolved Fighting Wings ruleset with updated aircraft data cards, multiple double-sided maps for varied theaters, and numerous scenarios that trace the evolution of fighter tactics and air-to-ground operations. Components include aircraft and ground counters, ship counters, and play aids to support scenario play.
