Yōkaï no Mori

This introductory Shogi game includes two versions with compact boards and animal-inspired pieces. The simpler version uses four pieces per player on a 3×4 board, with victory achieved by capturing the opposing koropokkuru or moving one’s own to the far side. Captured pieces can be returned to the board, and kodama can be promoted. The expert version uses a 5×6 board and eight pieces per player, adding more Shogi rules and piece types. Players must capture the opposing koropokkuru, manage promotions, observe restrictions on kodama placement, and use captured pieces effectively through successive drops.
