A Feast for Odin
Live the seasonal cycle of a Norse household as players gather resources, craft goods, expand settlements and send crews on raids and voyages. Each round follows preparation, worker placement and a feast phase where players allocate food and add tiles to a central hall tableau to modify income and score. Players place Viking workers on a large action board to perform dozens of specific actions, balance short-term needs against long-term development, and arrange polyomino tiles to cover penalty spaces and surround icons for bonuses. Victory goes to the player whose accumulated possessions and scored objectives produce the highest total value.

Can I place tiles diagonally on my home board — do diagonals count for adjacency and income?
You must cover income-diagonal spaces in ascending order and may only cover an income space if all spaces to its left, below, and in the bottom-left square are also covered; green tiles may not be orthogonally adjacent to other green tiles but diagonal adjacency is allowed. (page 12)
Can more than one player (or more than one Viking) use the same action space in the same round?
No — each action space can be occupied only once per round, and the column of the action indicates how many Vikings that space requires (1 in the first column, 2 in the second, etc.). (page 9)
Can I place goods on exploration boards and house tiles at any time, and can I take them back if I change my mind?
Placing green/blue goods, silver and ore on exploration boards and placing orange/red/green/blue goods and silver on house tiles are Anytime actions you may do at any time, but once you place a goods tile you cannot take it back. (page 13)
What happens if my raid/pillage/whaling attempt fails — do I lose Vikings or get anything?
A failed raid/pillage/whaling attempt gives consolation goods (for example failures grant 1 stone and 1 long sword), and some failures allow returned Vikings: failed pillaging may return 1 Viking, failed snares 1 Viking, and failed whaling up to 2 Vikings, which you may use later that round. (pages 17–18)
When can I use Immediate, Anytime and Each-Time occupation cards?
Immediate (yellow) cards take their one-time effect when played; Anytime (blue) cards provide permanent effects you can use at any time and any number of times; Each‑Time (red) cards trigger their effect each time the stated condition is met. (page 21)
If I place goods before the income/bonus phases, can I immediately use the silver or bonuses they generate to place tiles on another board in the same phase?
You can place goods before income so those placements affect your income, but all income and bonuses in phases 7 and 10 are generated at the same time, so you may not use income/bonuses from one board to place pieces on another board during that same phase. (pages 11, 13)
