1993 · Deduction
Alibi
Players investigate a single murder by deducing who did it, where it happened, when it occurred, how it was done and why. Each player holds a hand of clue cards and tries to collect complete sets in the five categories; revealed sets score points based on when they are shown. On a turn a player either asks another player a numeric question about how many cards they hold showing a particular clue icon, or makes a formal accusation that ends the play phase. Cards are passed clockwise each round, increasing the number passed as rounds progress. At accusation time every player records their answers for each category to score; correct specifics earn points while incorrect guesses incur penalties, and the first accuser receives bonus and risk adjustments.
