Belote
Four players form two teams and play a 32-card point-trick game with trumps. The dealer deals hands, reveals one card to propose a trump suit, and players accept or pass; if nobody accepts the face-up suit, a second round of declarations lets a player choose trumps. Play proceeds for eight tricks: players must follow suit or, when unable, play a trump (unless their partner is currently winning the trick). Card values differ between the trump suit and others, and teams score points from won tricks to determine the winner. Several regional variants adjust dealing and bidding, including a bid-driven version where players declare target points.
