Clank! In! Space!: A Deck-Building Adventure

Players infiltrate a tyrant's flagship to steal prized artifacts and reach an escape pod. They build and customize a personal deck of cards that grant movement, combat, hacking, and acquisition abilities as they explore the ship. Making noise from actions and card effects increases the tyrant’s alert level, which triggers escalating penalties and dangers; players balance risk and reward while recruiting allies and gathering loot. Victory requires extracting artifacts and escaping before the ship’s defenses overwhelm a player.

Deckbuilding en el que encarnarás a un ladrón espacial que debe explorar, hackear y robar uno de los artefactos que el malvado lord Heradicus guarda en su nave. Evita que te descubran y huye con una de las cápsulas espaciales.

Absolutely love it. I really like original Clank! but this one it's really deeper! You can do better decks and you have to pay a lot of attention on the monster, because you can die easier, and scape it's harder. I prefer original design and theme, but this on is level 2 if you want a more challenging and long game.

Rules questions

Answered from the rulebook by Ludoya's rules assistant.

When do boss attacks happen — every time a Boss Attack card is drawn or only when the Adventure Row is refilled at end of a turn?

Boss attacks occur when the Adventure Row is refilled at the end of a player's turn and any of the newly drawn cards show the Boss Attack symbol; the attack happens once even if multiple Boss Attack symbols are revealed (p.8). Also note that any "Arrive" text on revealed cards resolves before the boss attack (p.10).

If I use a Hyperlift, Telepad, or a teleport card, can I still use Boots afterward on the same turn?

Using a Hyperlift or Telepad makes you dizzy so you cannot use any Boots until your next turn (p.6). Teleporting via a card is different — it does not make you dizzy and you may continue to use Boots afterward, though entering a security checkpoint by any means still forces you to stop (p.10, p.6).

Can I enter the Command module before I place both Data cubes / complete the Command Code, or can a card ability bypass that restriction?

You cannot enter the Command module until you have completed the two-part command code and taken a Command Code token; the rules explicitly forbid entering the Command module "by any means" before you possess the token, including card abilities (p.6).

If I pick up an Artifact can I drop it later and take a different one?

No — you can carry only one Artifact and once you pick one up you are stuck with it for the rest of the game (p.4); picking up an Artifact also advances the Boss Marker (p.6).

How does Clank!/the Boss Bag damage work, and what happens if a player has escaped or been knocked out?

At a boss attack you put all Clank! cubes into the Boss Bag and draw cubes equal to the Boss Marker's number; a cube of a player's color deals that player 1 damage, black cubes do nothing, and red (bounty hunter) cubes cause every player to take 1 damage and are returned to the Clank! area (p.8). If a player has escaped or been knocked out they no longer take normal turns or add Clank!, but whenever that player's turn would occur they instead draw four cubes from the Boss Bag (six in a 2‑player game) to determine damage (p.9).

Do a card's "Acquire" or "Arrive" texts happen when you pick the card or when you later play it from your deck?

An "Acquire" text is carried out once immediately when you acquire the card from the Adventure Row, while an "Arrive" text is carried out when the card is revealed (before any boss attack that may be triggered) — neither are tied to later plays from your hand (p.10).
