Dead Man's Draw

2014 · Card Game

Dead Man's Draw

Players take turns drawing cards into a shared river, using each card’s suit ability as it’s revealed and deciding whether to continue or to bank the accumulated cards. Drawing a duplicate suit causes the active player to bust and lose the river, so each turn balances risk and reward. Suits grant varied effects—anchors protect previous draws, cannons destroy opponents’ banked cards, keys enable chest doubles, hooks replay banked cards, swords steal, oracles peek, and other suits manipulate the deck or discard. When the deck runs out, each player scores the highest banked card in each suit; the highest total wins.
