2019 · Card Game
Ecosystem
Players draft cards and build a 4x5 grid representing a personal ecosystem, taking turns to choose and place cards into their play area. Cards represent eleven different types of flora and fauna that score in relation to neighboring cards or collective presence; for example, bears score when adjacent to bees and trout, trout score when next to streams and dragonflies, and streams are compared at game end for majority points. At the end of the game each player has twenty cards; scoring rewards specific adjacencies and overall diversity across card types.
