Kavango
Players act as conservation experts restoring a Southern African landscape into a functioning nature reserve. Over three rounds of simultaneous play and card drafting, players place species and habitat cards onto individual landscape boards to build interconnected ecosystems. Research cards provide income and objectives that fund protective measures while shaping long-term strategy; players balance species diversity, habitat placement, and funding to support vulnerable animals. Variable boards, many unique species cards, and specialist powers create replayability and increasing strategic tension as choices tighten toward scoring.
