Life of the Amazonia
Players restore and cultivate a jungle by discovering and placing animals, insects, and plants to create an ecologically rich habitat. The game uses meeple placement combined with bag-building and pattern-building mechanics; players draft and draw from their bag to perform actions, restore land, plant trees and flowers, and place various creatures while accounting for each species’ unique characteristics to generate synergies. Setup and card arrangements vary widely, offering diverse strategic options and replayability as players optimize their bag and spatial patterns to score the most ecologically valuable jungle.

from 17 Ludoya reviews
Very nice game. Though, the cardboard thickness is a bit disappointing, considering how well the components are designed.
Rules questions
Answered from the rulebook by Ludoya's rules assistant.
How exactly do I pay for actions — what tokens can I use and how does paying with two resource tokens work?
You pay the resource cost shown for an action using resource tokens from your supply/bag; if an action allows using two tokens you may combine two resource tokens as explained with examples (see pages 7–8).
When do I refill the bag and what happens to my discard pile?
When you need to draw and your bag is empty you perform the bag reset: shuffle the discard into the bag (or follow the specific refill procedure) as described in the bag reset rules and examples (see page 8).
Can I place an animal on any matching habitat, or does it need to be on a specific tile/adjacent hex?
You may only place an animal where the terrain conditions on the animal card are met — the target hex must provide the animal’s habitat and respect placement restrictions/bonuses printed on terrain tiles (see pages 9–10).
How do Unique Animal cards work — do they need seeds or other prerequisites when I place them?
Unique Animals have printed prerequisites and placement rules and some require spending a seed when played; their special abilities and how they interact with scoring/placement are detailed on page 11.
If I buy a Nature Card or expand Storage, does that use my action and when do the effects apply?
Purchasing a Nature Card or expanding Storage is performed as an action, you pay the indicated cost, and the card/expanded storage takes effect immediately according to the purchase steps (see page 12).
How do I calculate endgame scoring for animals and the environment — what exactly do I count?
At the end of the game calculate environmental scoring and base animal scoring using the procedures and tables in the endgame section: count animal points by their card rules, groupings, and communities, then add scenery/track/seed bonuses as described with examples (see pages 14–17 and appendix examples on pages 22–27).
