Endeavor: Deep Sea
Players run independent research institutes focused on exploring and protecting the open ocean. Over multiple rounds, teams recruit specialists, send expeditions to new locations and dive sites, conduct research, and publish scientific papers that score points. Actions also include developing sustainable projects and launching conservation initiatives to preserve marine ecosystems. The game uses streamlined rules familiar to earlier titles in the series while introducing modern-era naval exploration and shifting board opportunities based on player choices.

Rules questions
Answered from the rulebook by Ludoya's rules assistant.
Do I get the Arrival bonus every time my Vessel moves into a zone, or only the first time?
After moving a Vessel to a zone you immediately gain that zone’s Arrival bonus — only for the final destination of the move — and you also get the Arrival bonus when you place a newly-gained Vessel in its launch zone (page 9).
How far and how deep can my Vessel travel — what does Ingenuity/Technology limit?
Your maximum travel depth and the maximum number of zones you can move (measured horizontally/vertically, one zone at a time) are both equal to your Technology (Ingenuity) level; you also may not travel through empty spaces (page 9).
When I Sonar and Discover, do I place the new Ocean board right away and what about Dive tokens?
When you Discover you draw two Ocean boards, choose one and place it immediately in any legal spot at that depth, then claim the zone’s one‑time Discovery bonus; if the placed board has a Dive site, place the indicated number of Dive tokens face‑down there (page 10).
Can I spend Dive tokens the same turn I draw them, and how many can I keep between turns?
You may spend Dive tokens on the same turn you draw them and at any point during your turn (before/after/between activating a Specialist), but at the end of your turn you may store at most one token on your mat and must spend any excess before ending your turn (page 11).
What's the difference between Diving (spending Dive tokens) and Conserving?
Dive draws a token from a Dive site which you may spend for its Research value or effect (and spending tokens can replace activating a Specialist), whereas Conserve requires you to pay the site’s Research cost to place a disc in a Conservation site and gain the site’s rewards (page 11).
When I publish a Journal what must I match, and when do its effects apply?
To Journal you must be in a zone with a Vessel, choose an unoccupied Journal site whose Field symbol appears on a Journal in the display, pay the Journal’s Research cost and place a disc, then claim the card; the Journal’s effects (Points, You, Others, Actions) activate immediately and the card stays face‑up for the game (page 12).
