2020 · Card Game
Five Three Five
Players compete to be the first to shed all cards by playing into a single central meld. The shared deck contains numbered ranks 1–15 (with 6 and 10 removed) and multiple copies of each rank; each card also carries a point value used for end-of-round scoring. On a turn, a player must lead or may overwrite, add to, or pass on the central meld using one, two, or three cards. Playable melds are singles, sets of equal rank, or runs of consecutive ranks. Tricks end when all but one player pass, a set or run reaches its maximum size, or a special “8” play clears the trick immediately. When a player empties their hand, the round ends and remaining cards score against the others; play repeats until a score threshold is reached.
