Flandern 1302

Flandern 1302 is a board game for 2–4 players. It plays in 60 minutes and is meant for ages 8 and up. Ludoya players call it best with 4. It is rated 7.5 out of 10 by 1 Ludoya reviewers.

Players represent competing guilds struggling for influence in the cities of medieval Flanders. Cards determine which tiles are placed, with each player using tiles in three shapes alongside church and neutral tiles. Tiles of the same colour cannot touch, while church tiles allow cities to expand. Completed cities are scored according to the number of tiles each colour contributes, with additional points for churches and cathedral sites. Action cards allow players to recover discards, reserve a tile for later, or take the first-player position, while cards drawn from the central deck can provide end-game bonuses. Neutral tiles and careful timing help reduce opponents’ scores or strengthen a player’s position.
