Garum

2019 · Abstract Strategy

Garum

Players act as producers of a prized fermented fish sauce along the Atlantic coast, managing production sites in Roman-era towns. Each player receives a personal set of 16 double-sided tiles divided into four colored areas and places them on a shared grid, aiming to create rows and columns dominated by their own color. Tile placement triggers scoring opportunities, awards small bonuses, and can disrupt opponents’ plans. The game plays 2–4 players in about 30 minutes, is language-independent, and emphasizes spatial strategy and area control as players seek to maximize points through careful tile layout.

Tier 4- Above average with some compelling hooks— good for a few plays Abstract game with an interesting enough gameplay. The theme / art /production does nothing for me,. Everything about this is "ok" and nothing special. Simply put, forgettable.
