Gobblers

Tic-Tac-Toe with a tactical twist! Place or move pieces on a 3x3 board to form three in a row horizontally, vertically, or diagonally. Larger pieces can cover smaller ones, creating hidden information and testing memory. On each turn, play a piece from off the board or move one already in play to any space where it fits. If uncovering a piece completes an opponent’s row, it must be covered elsewhere when possible.

This is a tic tac toe variant, where you are allowed to move a previously placed piece to cover a smaller one. It makes it a little more interesting, but I wouldn't say that much more interesting. I had hoped my kids (at 4 years old) would take to this because of the way the pieces sort of eat each other, but generally this hasn't been a puzzle that has been terribly compelling for them. :star: Art, Iconography and components functional :star: Clever or interesting mechanisms :star: Reasonably low downtime between turns with mildly AP players :nostar: Multiple plays stay interesting :star: Low or mitigatable luck elements :nostar::nostar::nostar::nostar::nostar: Raw enjoyment
