Industria

Players develop an industrial empire over five chronological periods, acquiring production sites, technologies, resources and improvements through a clockwise auction mechanism. The auctioneer reveals several open cards and sets the selling order while other players may make a single clockwise bid or pass; the auctioneer may accept the highest bid and continue selling or claim a card themself and pass the auctioneer role onward. If no bids occur, the auctioneer must take the card, potentially straining cash reserves. After auctions, players spend money and resources to build production places, install improvements and advance technologies, immediately scoring points for completed items. Timely construction within a period yields greater returns, and endgame scoring rewards synergistic combinations of improvements and cooperating production sites.

A neat auction game, with a nice forward flow. Best played multiple times.
