Jambo

2004 · Card Game

Jambo

Players act as Central African traders who buy and sell tea, hides, fruits, salt, silk and trinkets to earn gold. On each turn a player has five actions to draw and play cards, lay out wares on limited market spaces, activate buildup cards, and use cards that help or hinder opponents. Sales require the right combination of wares on a stall, so players manage market placement and card combos to attract customers and make profitable trades. The game ends when one player reaches the target amount of gold.

Too long for what it is, but pleasant old style game.

Sometimes you just have to scratch that card combo itch. I have yet to beat my wife in this game.
