Vive le Roi!

Players vie for succession in a courtly setting as a retiring monarch prompts a scramble of characters from cobbler to duchess to claim higher positions in the castle. Each player secretly holds a reference card listing several characters and scores points based on how high those characters end a round; higher floors yield more points. During setup, players place characters onto floors (maximum four per floor) and then on each turn must move any one character up at least one floor. When a piece reaches the throne, all players simultaneously vote Yes or No; a single No removes that character from the round. Rounds repeat until a set number are played, and the highest total score wins.
