Marvel: Remix

Players assemble a roster of heroes and allies from a seven‑card hand, using character, item, and location cards drawn from the Marvel Universe. On each turn, players equip characters, play maneuvers, and chain cards to create combos that score points. Villain cards introduce challenges and scoring opportunities during play. The game supports two to six players, plays in about 20 minutes, and resolves by totaling points from teams and combos to determine the winner.

Rules questions

Answered from the rulebook by Ludoya's rules assistant.

How many cards do we deal to each player at setup?

Deal every player six REMIX cards and one VILLAIN card during setup (page 3).

On my turn can I draw from a deck and also take from the discard (or do multiple things)?

No — on your turn you must choose exactly one of the three options (draw from REMIX then discard, draw from VILLAIN then discard, or take from the discard then discard a different card) (page 4).

Do the cards in the discard area stay faceup, and how can I take one?

All cards in the discard area are faceup and visible to everyone, and you may only take a card from it by choosing the discard-area action (take a card from the discard area, then discard a different card) (page 4).

What do I need in my hand at game end to score points?

If your hand does not contain at least one VILLAIN and at least one HERO or ALLY, your hand scores 0 points; blanked VILLAIN/ALLY/HERO cards do not count toward this requirement (pages 4, 6).

What does it mean when a card is 'blanked' — does it still count or give effects?

A blanked card no longer receives points, gives points to other cards, or affects a hand in any way; if multiple blanking effects apply, you may choose the order their texts are activated at end of game (page 5).

Does a 'WITH' bonus apply once or once per matching card, and how is 'FOR EACH' different?

A 'WITH' bonus is applied only once for the named card/type/tag, whereas a 'FOR EACH' bonus applies once for every matching card or tag you hold (page 5).
