2013 · Card Game
Mascarade
Players receive hidden role cards and may not actually be who their card shows. On a turn a player either claims a character’s power and uses its action, exchanges cards with another player by secretly shuffling and returning one, or secretly peeks at their own card to check their identity. Other players can challenge claims by revealing cards; a successful reveal transfers the action to the revealer and penalizes the false claimant. The game supplies more role cards than are used at once, so composition varies and information is partial and shifting. Play ends when a player reaches the target coin total or when someone goes broke; the player with the most coins then wins.
