Mastermind

One player secretly arranges a sequence of colored pegs, and the other player makes repeated guesses to match that code. After each guess the codemaker provides feedback using small key pegs that indicate correct color in correct position and correct color in wrong position. Players use logic and deduction to narrow possibilities and attempt to crack the code within a limited number of turns. Variants include repeated colors and empty positions to increase difficulty. Components include a peg board, colored code pegs, and key pegs for feedback; designed for two players, ages 8 and up.
