Mini Rails
Players alternate between buying shares and building track to grow and restructure rail companies. Each round every player takes exactly one “Buy Shares” action and one “Build Tracks” action, choosing which company to invest in and where to lay rails on a shared map. Share purchases affect company control and the upcoming turn order, while track placement expands networks that increase company value. Rounds repeat until the game ends, and scoring compares portfolio values to determine the winner. The game condenses stock-management and route-building into a compact session playable in under an hour.

Evan2.5 This is a similar game to Paris Connection and Chicago Express, except it has a much more limited feeling. The gist is there is a line of disks. Each disk can be taken as either a stock of that color, or as a rail of that color. If you take it as a rail, you put it on an empty space of the board and then adjust all previously taken stocks of that color up or down in value depending on the pips in the spot taken. The tricky part of it is, there is always one more token than number of player actions in a round, so one marker drops at the end, and it's only markers that have dropped down that are ever actually worth positive points. Essentially, this gives the game a real lack of control that I found unpleasant. It's nice that it's fast, but there just isn't anything to be excited about in this game. :star: Art, Iconography and components functional :nostar: Clever or interesting mechanisms :star: Reasonably low downtime between turns with mildly AP players :nostar: Multiple plays stay interesting :nostar: Low or mitigatable luck elements :star::star::nostar::nostar::nostar: Raw enjoyment
Kush5.9 Tier 4- Above average with some compelling hooks— good for a few plays Had played the game when it came out once and did not think much of it then( I think the teach was a bit muddled). A recent 2021 play changed my mind. Great production, interesting decisions all in a small footprint.
