Nine Men's Morris
Two players each command nine pieces on a grid of connected points. The game begins with alternating placement of pieces, aiming to form a straight row of three; completed rows allow a player to remove an opponent’s piece. After all pieces are placed, players take turns sliding pieces along board connections to create new rows of three and capture more pieces. When a player is reduced to three pieces, those pieces may “fly,” moving to any vacant point to try to defend or form mills. Play ends when one side is reduced to two pieces.
